Masken-Verbund-Bayern

During spring 2020, the Corona wave hit Bavaria for the first time. The sudden shortage of respiratory protection masks impressively demonstrated how dependent we are on supplies from abroad, even for personal protective equipment.

To change this, i was deeply involved in the foundation of the „Maskenverbund Bayern“ (Bavarian Mask Cooperation) in May 2020, which was launched with the support of Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr. Hubert Aiwanger.

The cooperation serves to establish a complete value chain for respiratory protection masks in Bavaria. Before the Corona pandemic, there were no manufacturers of disposable masks in Germany. The Maskenverbund Bayern has set itself the goal of assuming a leading role among the now newly established disposable mask manufacturers in Germany.
