As a technical and commercial managing director of medium-sized high-tech companies, I was able to gather a wealth of experience in international listed groups over decades.
The management tasks I assumed there in administration and technology were usually paired with national and international restructuring and transformation projects. The aim was to make the companies significantly more profitable in a short time and at the same time create the conditions for sustainable growth.
During the financial crisis in 2010, for example, I was able to keep the company’s EBIT margin constant at over 10% despite a decline in sales by relocating plants and optimizing production and organization. As part of a restructuring program, I was able to gain more efficiencyin business processes by systematically realigning the product portfolio, merging production and implementing LEAN management measures. The realignment of the administration was also the focus of a reorganization. In addition I was able to successfully close the negotiationsabout an in-house collective bargaining agreement which had been deadlocked for years.
